Accounting Department of FEB UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta Holds Workshop on Writing Books and Articles Using Artificial Intelligence
Yogyakarta – To enhance the capacity of lecturers and students in academic writing that adapts to technological advancements, the Accounting Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta, held a Workshop on Writing Books and Articles Using Artificial Intelligence on Wednesday, February 14, 2025, at Room FEB AKT D1.
The workshop featured Dr. Wing Wahyu Winarno, MAFIS, Ak., CA., a lecturer at STIE YKPN Yogyakarta, widely recognized as an expert in academic writing and the application of technology in education. In his presentation, Dr. Wing Wahyu elaborated on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can support the process of writing books and academic articles—from brainstorming, literature review, drafting, to final editing—in a more efficient and structured manner.
The event was moderated by Anindyo Aji Susanto, S.E., M.Sc., a lecturer from the Accounting Department of FEB UPNVY, who fostered an interactive and reflective discussion throughout the session. Participants, consisting of undergraduate and postgraduate students and faculty members, showed great enthusiasm, especially when introduced to several popular AI tools that can be ethically and responsibly used in academic writing.
This activity is part of the Accounting Department's commitment to supporting digital transformation in higher education while encouraging the improvement of innovative and relevant academic publications.
Through this workshop, participants are expected to be able to integrate technology into their academic activities optimally and continuously develop writing skills that are competitive both nationally and internationally.
