Yogyakarta, August 5, 2025 – As part of efforts to enhance tax literacy and awareness in higher education, the Tax Center of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, in collaboration with the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (Kanwil DJP) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, and supported by the UPA PKK UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, held a Technical Training on Tax Inclusion on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM onwards, at the Seminar Room, Faculty of Agriculture, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta.

The event was attended by 69 participants, most of whom were lecturers teaching Entrepreneurship courses. The objective was to provide a comprehensive understanding of tax inclusion and to encourage the integration of tax-related materials into entrepreneurship curricula at the university level.

The training opened with remarks from Mr. Yusup Widodo, Intermediate Tax Extension Functional Officer of Kanwil DJP DIY, who emphasized the importance of early tax education. He also highlighted the strategic role of lecturers as agents of change in shaping a tax-aware generation.

The Technical Training featured two speakers from the Kanwil DJP DIY tax education team:

  1. Windah Ferry Cahyasari

  2. Muthia Nurhanifah

They presented materials on tax inclusion policy, strategies for incorporating tax topics into entrepreneurship syllabi, and the importance of embedding tax compliance values among students. The session was delivered interactively and was met with enthusiastic participation.

This activity reflects UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta’s strong commitment—through its Tax Center and UPA PKK—to supporting the Directorate General of Taxes’ strategic efforts to build an academic environment that is aware of and compliant with tax obligations.

It is hoped that through this Technical Training, lecturers will become key drivers of tax inclusion both in the classroom and in student entrepreneurial activities, fostering a generation that is innovative and fiscally responsible.
